The exhibition Later on we shall simplify things brings together four painters who, during the current flowering of figurative painting, all use a stylised, thoughtful visual language. By exhibiting together, they try to define their position in relation to the so-called classical abstract art and to examine the similarities and differences between them.
In the spring of 2005, Tim Ayres, Ab van Hanegem, Jan van der Ploeg and Han Schuil worked together for the first time in the Andratx Cultural Centre on Mallorca, during a six-week period.
The exhibition will be shown at SCHUNCK Glaspaleis Heerlen and at Andratx Cultural Centre Mallorca.
